Q: Are we allowed to request for a specific listener?
A: Users are no longer able to request a specific listener in this platform because all users are matched with a listener through randomized selection.
Q: Do I have to repeat telling my story to different listeners?
A: You don't have to do so! All listeners have access to chat histories which help us go through your previous conversations. However, it would be helpful if you mention the name you used for the previous conversation so we can navigate through the chat history.
Q: Can we do counseling via video call?
A: No, unfortunately our service is offered via chat only at this time.
Q: Are we allowed to share each other's private information?
A: All relationships and conversations stay within crisp only. Listeners will not share their personal information.
Q: How many times can we use the Youth Listener's chat service?
A: Users have unlimited access to Youth Listener's website however, if you need continuous professional counselling, we recommend you to seek a professional help.
Q: Is this a way for me to seek professional help?
A: The services we provide are not meant to replace any therapy of any sort or kind. Users agree that Youth Listener is not intended for crisis situations and urgent needs. In a crisis situation, users agree to call 911 or local emergency services, or visit the nearest emergency room.
Q: Do I have to repeat telling my story to different listeners?
A: Users are not required to retell, the listeners have access to chat histories, however, please state your name used for the previous session, we need that to find the data
